This week I want to teach and encourage you on how you can be a blessing and also get God’s blessings in your life. This is a biblical principle found in a simple and common verse in the bible, that when applied to your life you can dramatically change the very circumstances of your life.
“Even so, every good tree bears good fruit but a bad tree bears bad fruit.”
This verse is commonly used by Christians to evaluate Preachers, Pastors, Prophets and men of God. Although this is a proper use of the verse we miss out on the blessing that can be found when we use this verse to look at ourselves.
If a farmer planted cassava stems and expected Bananas to grow he would be called a fool. If we are honest with ourselves we often do this in our spiritual lives. We find ourselves being dishonest with money and stealing, but daily cry out to God for Him to bless our finances.
Our God is a gracious and powerful God. He can do anything and turn any situation around. He is without limits. God is also a God of principle. It is time we are honest with ourselves and start to realize the areas in our lives where we have “bad trees” growing. Are there any areas in your life that you continually feel defeated in? Have you had many relationships fail? Are you always financially struggling? Are you always feeling depressed? Can you not keep a job
Instead of pleading with a Prophet or Man of God to pray a prayer of blessing over you, remember this scripture. God will not bless a tree with bad roots. If you want to experience the blessings of God in your life and the good fruit He has for you, it is time we remove the bad roots in our life. These roots can be dishonesty, bitterness, anger, lust, laziness, greed or many other things
My prayer for you this week is that by the guidance of the Holy Spirit you find these bad roots in your life and remove them forever. I pray you live your life the way He has commanded us so that He can release His blessings upon your life.
Have a blessed week
DEVELOPING A HEART OF THANKSGIVING
Dear Beloved of God,
This week, I want to remind you about the goodness of God and how we have to give thanks to God every moment.
Giving thanks is the outward expression of our gratitude to God. If you genuinely sit down and look back where you have come from, there are millions of reasons to give thanks to the Lord.
Despite the difficulties you may go through in life which always makes you forget the goodness of the Lord. The Lord has done much more for us than the devil has done against us and for that reason we must be thankful to him.
Philippians 4: 6-7
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His Peace will Guard your heart and minds as you live in Christ Jesus
I want to encourage you to begin developing a heart of thanksgiving and praising God always regardless of the situations around you, do not let your life be driven by the cares and worries of this life. Remember always that the Lord your God is in control at any moment. Give thanks to Him and bless His name, it will be well with you.
God Bless you.
